This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Operator, Mechanical Assembler, Electronics Assembly Operator, Production Operator or Manufacturing Operative looking to join a growing business delivering specialist electronic products to customers worldwide.
Working within a skilled production team, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality electronic products and fitting electronic and electrical assemblies and wiring into mechanical housings. The role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality work.
The Mechanical Assembly Operator Role
- You will assemble a wide range of specialist electronic display products within a professional manufacturing environment.
- This position combines practical mechanical assembly skills, attention to detail and quality-focused manufacturing, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building technically advanced products.
- Similar to the build of a PC or consumer electronics products where you place parts and components into a tight fitting enclosure.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assembling electronic products and associated mechanical components.
- Fitting high-quality electronic assemblies into mechanical housings and enclosures.
- Assembling components using appropriate hand tools, equipment and production techniques.
- Following work instructions, photographs, diagrams and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensuring all completed products meet the required quality and workmanship standards.
- Checking components and assemblies for accuracy, quality and potential defects.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe production environment.
- Recording production information and completing relevant manufacturing documentation.
- Working effectively as part of the production team and using your own initiative when completing individual assembly tasks.
About You
- You will ideally have previous experience working in mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, production or manufacturing.
- Experience fitting electronic assemblies into housings, enclosures or finished products would be particularly useful.
- A practical and methodical approach to assembly work.
- The ability to follow detailed work instructions, photographs, diagrams and production documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- The ability to use hand tools confidently, accurately and safely.
- A positive and reliable team player who can also work effectively using their own initiative.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Mechanical assembly within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Assembling electronic equipment, or products such as a PC or other high-quality technical products.
- Wire looming, cable routing or cable assembly.
- Experience using mechanical drawings, diagrams and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of production inspection, quality control or manufacturing documentation.
