An Engineering Technician is required for a niche and successful Engineering company based in North, Kent paying circa £48,000. This hand-on role is varied and dynamic as you will be involved in many aspects of the business ranging from assembly and build of product through to installation, project leadership and design contribution.
Your duties for this Engineering Technician job posting will include:
- Hands on assembly of machined, pneumatic, electrical parts
- Interpreting Engineering/Electrical Drawings and making recommendations for improvements of designs
- Upload and adjust Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC controlled machinery programming during build and installation.
- Support the installation of company equipment on site and provide aftermarket support to clients via phone and email.
- Support aftermarket maintenance programmes
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to improve designs across mechanical, electrical and software.
- Work to project timetable to ensure delivery of product on time and too budget.
- Ensure all designs and builds meet standards and regulatory requirements.
Your capabilities as an Engineering Technician will include the ability to work in a hands-on capacity and support the build of automated machinery and its on-site installation. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with CAD packages to produce schematics and be a clear communicator who can support the commercial delivery of High Value, low volume automated products.
Experience of working with Automated or Robotic would be an advantage however we will consider applications from Engineers with a diverse range of background who are committed to moving into this engineering challenging, project led environment. You are likely to hold 17th/18th edition electrical qualifications for the installation of the systems. Applications from HND/HNC/Degree level applications are invited.
The company is paying an excellent starting salary coupled with good benefits. Some travel will be required for the installation of machinery both in the UK and Internationally.
