
An Analytical Chemistry Manager is required to join a growing Contract Analytical Laboratory on a full time and permanent basis based in Dover, Kent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop, lead and manage all Analytical Chemistry activities as well as participating positively in the continued development of this life science company. Paying an excellent salary up to £47,000 and benefits this is a dynamic, friendly, and progressive company where all staff are valued for their contribution.
Your Duties as Analytical Chemistry Manager / Laboratory Manager will be:
- Managing all laboratory / Analytical Chemistry staff and ensuring that SOP’s are maintained and reflect current practice.
- Monitor laboratory performance, and action any non-conformances raised in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring laboratory staff answer client queries concerning their results, in a professional friendly manner and on a timely basis.
- Developing and implementing laboratory staff training plans.
- Responsible for the development and validation of new and existing methods
- Implement best practice, process, and protocol improvements to workflow in the laboratory.
- Allocate resource and manage projects for clients
- Be a point of contact for clients
- Carryout hands on analytical work, and be a point of expertise for Analytical Chemistry Technique (i.e., Chromatography, GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC etc)
You will be educated to a minimum of a degree level in Chemistry, or related Life-Science subject. Coupled with laboratory experience ideally at a Senior Analytical Chemist, Supervisory or Manager level. You will know how to manage people and plan strategically getting the best out of the laboratory team. Ensuring the ongoing development of the contract analytical laboratory furthering cementing its excellent reputation.
