Senior Process Safety Consultant

One of the UK’s premier process safety consultancies is seeking a Senior Process Safety Consultant. Renowned for their national and international reach, they are expanding their client portfolio. They are now actively seeking exceptional Process Safety Consultants to contribute to their success.

This is an opportune time to join the business, as they offer a strong starting salary (details available by request), car allowance, bonus scheme, and pension. Experienced Process Safety Consultants have the flexibility to work remotely, attending Hampshire-based offices for meetings as needed.

As the Senior Process Safety Consultant, your key responsibilities include

• Providing compliance solutions to process industry clients, enhancing their understanding of fire and explosion risks, and making recommendations for reducing on-site hazards.
• Delivering practical and cost-effective solutions to technical safety challenges.
• Conducting on-site audits within the designated assignment scope.
• Generating detailed reports outlining key risk areas and recommending improvements.
• Proactively collaborating with clients throughout the end-to-end process of safety projects.
• Establishing and meeting critical client deadlines.
• Staying updated on national and international regulatory requirements.

Key qualifications and skills required for this role:

• Extensive experience and understanding of hazards and risks (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, DSEAR, etc.) in a process environment, with the ability to make recommendations for clients to manage business risks effectively (e.g., procedures and policies, management of change, permit to work, asset integrity management, functional safety, auditing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and a passion for advocating process safety.
• Autonomy in work, demonstrating excellent self-management skills and a proactive approach.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of regulatory and legislative compliance for safety in the process industries, backed by an excellent back-office team and superb resources to achieve objectives.

As the business is rapidly expanding, candidates with HSE experience in DSEAR are encouraged to apply. Note that successful applicants will be required to attend the office for a six-month training period before commencing remote/WTF working. The company is also open to applications from EU candidates considering a new consultancy role in the ATEX arena.
