A Quality Engineer is required for a highly respected International Manufacturing company based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

This is a significant role in the business where you will be ensuring that highest quality standards are maintained across the company and with suppliers and third-party manufacturers. The company is paying an attractive starting salary up to £35,000 and a comprehensive and attractive benefits package. Quality is a major part of this company’s reputation and integral to their product and you will be key in supporting the quality improvement initiatives across the business.

You will have a background in Quality ideally achieved in a mechanical manufacturing environment. You will be able to lead testing and quality initiatives. Being driven by a rigorous and enquiring nature you will be able to resolve manufacturing and quality issues help deliver an exceptional product.

  • Developing and implementing quality standards across the business
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems.
  • Auditing quality systems to ensure compliance
  • Monitoring and analysing quality performance across the business
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Reviewing and auditing of supplier’s documentation and manufacturing procedures
  • Working to improve suppliers’ quality pre-delivery by partnering with their manufacturing teams and QMS
  • Organising inspection visits and carrying out supplier inspections across the supply chain
  • Ensure all data dossiers and documentation in relation to quality are produced
  • Support the non-conformance report (NCR) process and ensure improvements are made across the production process as a result
  • Resolve non-conformance issues

You will ideally have some Engineering training such as a Degree/HNC/HND in a related subject. You will understand the implication of working in a regulated sector and understand the importance of compliance to regulatory standards. You must have a good understanding of ISO9001 and ideally have knowledge of quality techniques (I.e., 8D, 5S) and Lean Manufacturing (Six Sigma).
