Position Overview of Engineering Manager job

As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Engineering across multiple manufacturing lines and our product test facility. Your mission will be to ensure the operational and engineering effectiveness of our production processes while spearheading continuous process improvement initiatives. You will lead a team of talented engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of Engineering Manager

  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplined Engineering team, including process engineering and CAD engineers, ensuring the timely delivery of production drawings.

  • Drive engineering improvements in manufacturing and product testing processes and equipment.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to implement lean and cost-effective manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure operators adhere to engineering protocols.

  • Supervise, motivate, and evaluate the performance of an 8-member Engineering staff.

    Establish and maintain maintenance schedules (PPM) for on-site equipment.

  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) and manufacturing projects and initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and other departments to implement approved engineering changes in production processes.

  • Maintain the highest level of manufacturing equipment performance and reliability.

  • Uphold health and safety standards across manufacturing operations

Qualifications And Skills

  • Background in Engineering from a Hi-tech Engineering or manufacturing environment. Knowledge in Electro-mechanical, Mechanical, or Physics-related product manufacture (e.g., Vacuum, Material Deposition, Thin Film, Optical, Sensor, Pump) highly desirable but not essential talk with us to find out more.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to bridge R&D innovations to production while improving existing engineering processes.

  • Experience in Production Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance, or Manufacturing Engineering with strong engineering skills.

  • Flexibility in engineering specialization (Mechanical / Electrical / Multi) with a dynamic and forward-looking management approach.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.

  • Independent and collaborative thinker who can drive engineering solutions.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
