Electrical Technician

An Electrical Technician with experience of, or wanting to work in Building Management Systems (BMS) is required in Sandwich, Kent. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including

• Conducting meticulous inspections, comprehensive testing, planned maintenance, and making essential modifications to systems, plant, equipment, and building repairs.
• Being the go-to expert for on-site investigations, diagnostics, and prompt repairs of electrical systems and plant.
• Collaborating seamlessly with our engineering team to ensure the smooth operation of plant, equipment, and related systems during start-ups. Your precision monitoring ensures safe shutdowns.
• Embarking on exciting new electrical installations and contributing to various site projects.
• Overseeing vital tasks like emergency light testing, fixed wire testing, PAT testing, and meticulous record-keeping.
• Safely isolating equipment, making it secure for maintenance procedures.
• Championing projects and installations on-site to continuously enhance plant and systems.
• Offering critical technical support for projects and lending a hand in commissioning works for plant and general equipment.

Your Qualifications and Skills to excel in this role, you should possess:

A foundational understanding of BMS/BEMS Electrical systems, with a passion to further develop your engineering expertise in this sector. Plus, exceptional communication skills, allowing you to represent our company positively and deliver top-notch service to our clients. At least an ONC/OND within an Engineering discipline. 18th Edition desired.

Knowledge of working within or a desire to work in Building Services (BMS) or HVAC. Maybe you are working in Manufacturing and want to transfer across. This is possible.
