Description

A Business Development Manager is required for growing and successful engineering and manufacturing company supplying Cutting Edge Electromechanical products to scientific and academic community as well as Industry. Your role will be to drive sales growth in these Scientific and Industrial markets across UK and Europe. You will be based in the UK or Europe and be looking to achieve an excellent salary (Quoted as OTE) plus benefits.

Responsibilities

Your duties as Business Development Manager will include:

  • Establish strong professional relationships with current clients to ensure repeat business while gaining access to new potential clients
  • Establish new sales channels either directly or through 3rd party distributors
  • Identify and pursue potential projects and leads generated from all avenues (i.e., conferences etc)
  • Support the tender and/or grant process and ensure documents are submitted on time and accurately
  • Negotiate project pricing before final sign-off
  • Respond to request for information’s and provide other internal sales capabilities
  • Investigate market placing of the company and report on any competitor changes
  • Maintenance of the CRM and support other internal systems to ensure the complete accuracy of information both technical, accounting and sales.
Qualifications

You will have experience of supplying products to the scientific market and be able to discuss complex Physical science solutions with clients. Specific guidance on the companies’ products can be provided. However, you will likely be educated to a BSc, MSc or PhD in a Scientific subject (i.e. Physics, Chemistry). You will be consultative in your approach able to provide guidance on the company products while achieve commercial success and sales growth.

This role will require you to be able to travel freely (predominately in the European Market) and to meet in the East Sussex based office. However, you can be located anywhere in Europe, with the understanding that you will be required to attend site meetings in the UK.
